The Teva Hurricane XLT JR is a premium, highly durable sports and adventure sandal engineered to support active children through outdoor exploration, trail day hikes, and wet water play. The sandal features signature quick-drying webbing straps meticulously woven from 100% REPREVE® recycled polyester to minimize environmental impact while withstanding rugged playground use. It is designed around Teva's iconic Universal Strapping System with three distinct points of hook-and-loop adjustability across the toe, ankle, and heel, providing a secure, slide-free, and fully customized fit for growing feet. This updated iteration integrates specialized FuseLock™ closure technology that delivers twice the holding strength of standard hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure the straps remain locked during high-energy activities. For long-distance comfort, the sandal incorporates an upgraded, heavily cushioned topsole featuring an extra 5mm of EVA foam compared to older models, offering excellent step-in padding and shock absorption. The chassis is built with a 30% recycled EVA midsole for lightweight bounce and is completed by a 30% recycled rubber outsole utilizing a re-engineered geometric lug pattern to supply dependable, multi-surface traction on slick boat decks, dirt trails, and wet rocks.
